W
Ranger Kids—the trail to fun and adventure—is an
exciting program for boys
in kindergarten, first and second grades. Boys in this age group
participate in great fun and excitement
that will allow boys to develop their interests and needs as well as mold their
character.
Weekly experiences and activities are enhanced through a
specific advancement system designed to
give the boys a sense of achievement and purpose. Through interactive learning
and fun activities,
Ranger Kids will grow in four ways:
| Physically: Their bodies will grow strong through proper exercise and diet. | |
| Spiritually: Their spirits will grow strong through prayer, Bible study and witnessing. | |
| Mentally: Their minds will grow strong by reading, studying, and memorizing Scripture passages. | |
| Socially: Their relationships with people will grow strong by learning how to treat them. |
Discovery
Rangers is a fun and exciting program for boys in third-, fourth-, and
fifth-grade. Not only does the boy get
to discover great indoor and outdoor activities, he will get to make many new
friends. Being a Discovery Ranger is
another step toward growing into a man of God in four ways:
| Physically: Their bodies will grow strong through proper exercise and diet. | |
| Spiritually: Their spirits will grow strong through prayer, Bible study and witnessing. | |
| Mentally: Their minds will grow strong by reading, studying, and memorizing Scripture passages. | |
| Socially: Their relationships with people will grow strong by learning how to treat them. |
Adventurers
from the past include men like Christopher Columbus, who sailed west into
uncharted waters to get to India and discovered the American continents;
Nicolaus Copernicus, who developed a new theory about the arrangement of our
universe; and Jedidiah Strong Smith, who explored the wilds of America's western
frontier. These are men who inspire us all to probe and expand our horizons.
As Adventure Rangers, sixth-, seventh-, and eighth-grade young men have the chance to do as these men. A Ranger is one who explores new frontiers, so the Adventure Ranger will explore new areas as he learns the history of Royal Rangers and takes advantage of opportunities for the future.
As an Adventure Ranger, a young man will experience growth in four ways:
| Physically: Their bodies will grow strong through proper exercise and diet. | |
| Spiritually: Their spirits will grow strong through prayer, Bible study and witnessing. | |
| Mentally: Their minds will grow strong by reading, studying, and memorizing Scripture passages. | |
| Socially: Their relationships with people will grow strong by learning how to treat them. |
Expedition
Rangers is the exciting ministry for older youth. It has four primary
categories:
| Achievement through the advancement system to continue to earn awards. | |
| Leadership training skills through junior camps and working in Royal Rangers and Youth ministries. | |
| Service through a variety of ministry opportunities. | |
| Activities through high action activities that challenge youth with adventure. |
Each of the four categories is linked together with the "Spirit Challenge", a weekly Bible study developed specifically for older teens. There are also over one hundred different silver merits providing tremendous options to learn different skills, participate in sports and youth ministries.
Royal Rangers is developing youth for the future through our four-phase strategy: Evangelism, Discipleship, Missions, and Ministry.Royal Rangers and National Youth Ministries encourage churches to provide both Youth ministries and Expedition Rangers for their teens. This can be accomplished by having the ministries on different days and will allow you many options as you participate in these excellent ministries.
